Sonya Jensen

Working with couples and individuals to live passionate and fully connected lives is the foundation of everything I build my work on. Difficult experiences and disconnection happens to all of us at some point in our lives. My hope to is to support you in identifying the life and relationship you want, removing barriers to those dreams, and helping you create daily steps towards the life you want.

Friend in need

A wife & a mother

I’m a coach at heart. Meaning I believe in the process and making progress. I don’t want you to be in therapy for the long haul. With the right motivation and tools you can start seeing your goals become a reality. That doesn’t mean you won’t have some bumps along the way. I will be with you supporting you in making clear choices, noticing inconsistencies, and giving you perspective.

Master's degree in Clinical Psychology

I graduated with honors from Azusa Pacific University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Post-graduation I have completed extensive training in Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and 15 hours of Telehealth training required by the State of Texas.

I’ve worked with clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a myriad of settings. Personal experience has been my greatest teacher and having been married since 2005 and having two children of my own, I understand the unique struggles couples and families face.
